see primary care dr: Sometimes specialists have what we call specialty "blinders" on and don't see what they don't think belongs in their specialty. Nitrates are generally not good drugs for high blood pressure, which has no known cause in most patients, but may run in families. Reduce salt intake and lose weight if needed, see a pcp about starting on the right meds for your high blood pressure.
