Cardiologist took me off isosorbide. now my bp is high again. fri it was 186/103. he said he doesn't know what is wrong with me. there is nothing wrong with my heart. what do i do about my bp?

see primary care dr: Sometimes specialists have what we call specialty "blinders" on and don't see what they don't think belongs in their specialty. Nitrates are generally not good drugs for high blood pressure, which has no known cause in most patients, but may run in families. Reduce salt intake and lose weight if needed, see a pcp about starting on the right meds for your high blood pressure.

Bp: Isosorbide is not a classic BP medication ask your doctor about other options.
