A member asked:

I was feeding my baby and she started dripping milk from her nose. is this normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually ok: As the mouth and nose share common areas in the back of the throat, milk given in the mouth can come out of the nose. This usually happens with spitting up, coughing, sneezing but may happen with more significant problems like reflux or a fistula. If this always occurs, baby is in pain or turns blue, then you should definitely have your baby seen asap.
