Safe, not effective: After 2 weeks, the gums around the extraction site should be just about healed. Even though most whitening agents are a form of peroxide, swishing with hydrogen peroxide will probably not have much of an effect. Many otc whitening products can be quite effective if used diligently and routinely. For the best results, see your dentist.

No!: Safe 'whitening' involves exposure of 'just teeth!' to the oxidative effects of of carbamide peroxide / hydrogen peroxide. Rinsing with hydrogen peroxide will be inactivated soon after it touches you warm gums and mouth.

Safe: It is safe to swish diluted hydrogen peroxide but it is unlikely that it would whiten your teeth much if at all.

It's safe: However, diluted hydrogen peroxide won't do much to whiten teeth. You might want to get bleaching trays made and use bleaching gel.
