Hysterectomy: A partial hysterectomy means they take out the uterus - which will remove the fibroids - but leave your ovaries. If they take the ovaries you would have menopause and you are too young for that. Be sure to ask your doctor if yu have any more questions.

Leave the cervix: Partial hysterectomy today means leaving the cervix and removing the uterus, so yes cutting the uterus (top of the uterus) off of the cervix (bottom of the cervix). If your fibroids are on the uterus should be good with a partial hysterectomy.
