Take Vit. D3: The only way to "build" vit d is to be in the mid-day sun during spring ; summer months. Tanning beds are dangerous, supplying mostly the type of uv rays that cause skin cancer ; that don't create vit d- see http://healthpsych.Psy.Vanderbilt.Edu/2009/tanningbeds.Htm the best way to insure adequate d is to take 5-8000 iu of d3/day during fall ; winter- year-round if you don't get sun.
