IBS: Everyone has different levels of symptoms. Most of the symptoms related to ibs can be addressed supportively and goal is to regulate your bowel to normal. Certainly, reduce stress level can help since it is one of the contributing factors to your symptoms. Work closely with your physician. However, knowing that ibs is not detrimental can help patients coping.

Ibs is not the same as inflammatory bowel disease (ibd)." try probiotics. Diet likely major role. Lactose or fructose intolerances are common. Follow up with your gastroenterologist.
