Knee swelling, pain: 70 yom with one knee swelling and pain. Is he able to stand ;walk? First have x-ray/mri of knee. Orthopedist consult to aspirate fluid and analyze ; joint pain injection. Know the diagnosis and then treat. In the mean while take ibuprofen, apply tylenol (acetaminophen) pain patch or any otc pain patch.
