Would you say that the damages from heavy cigarette smoking (for about 3 years), are reversible by quitting? particularly, shortness of breath.

Over time: The body has amazing ability to heal, but it often takes time. Over time there is a good chance that much of the damage you have done by smoking can heal. It is impossible to say if it will ever be what it would have been if you had not started smoking, but the sooner you stop smoking the less damage there will be and the sooner it can start to heal.
