I have been smoking cigarettes since i was 13 and i'm 25 now. i also have asthma. right now i'm sick with a cold and am short of breath. lung cancer?

Probably not: Although you smoke, it is probably an exacerbation of your asthma due to an upper respiratory infection. Viruses are more likely to aggravate asthma than bacterial infedtions. However, continuing to smoke significantly increases your risk of lung cancer and copd.
