Several Possibilitie: Alcohol cause chemical brain imbalance and is a depressant. Certain medications and recreational drugs (marijuana) and depression can result in lack of motivation. Depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain. Hormones can certainly do it, as well. Get a check up with pcp and ask for referral for a psychological evaluation. That is the best way to get answers of this type. Good luck.

You're sure?: Extreme lack of motivation is a very common symptom of depression. Some people might not want this to even be considered, but if you want a comprehensive evaluation it would be on any good physician's list of possibilities. Other problems may also be going on as well, such as drug use like marijuana. Please see your physician to start working on this. Be well.
