The www.Diabetes.Org website has incredible amount of info on caring for diabetes, as well as blood pressure and cholesterol etc... Please check with your parents and see your doctor regularly. Low carb, high prot.: A low carbohydrate/high protein diet is likely the best to help with these things. It does depend on the type of diabetes as type i needs Insulin and so more sugar/carbohydrate might be needed to avoid hypoglycemia, and type ii doesn't need Insulin and so less carbs may be needed. But either way a diet rich in proteins and vegetables like carrots and celery and exercise and low in carbs is good.
