More info needed....: Was the new filling deep? How long ago was the filling done? How does your bite feel.. Even? The answers to these questions would help in the advice. Your dentist should not be rude, period. If a scaler is catching the edge of the filling, there may be an opening causing the sensitivity. The only way you can know for sure is to get a second opinion from another local dentist who can examine you.
