Normal: The procedure is invasive and traumatizes the tooth somewhat. Give it a bit of time and it should feel fine. If not, contact your treating dentist.

You had surgery: You had diseased tissue surgically removed and then replaced with an artificial tooth-like material. Some soreness is to be expected. It should get a little better every day. If not, call your Dentist.

To be expected: After any treatment such like a filling...post operatuve sensitivity and tenderness if normal. i usually advise it can remain for upto 2 weeks getting progressivly better. if it doesnt then go see you dentist again. it may still not be a big problem. it could just be your filling is high in the bite....easily corrected
