A member asked:

Can fillings in molars be high/painful - and cause gum recession - even if my bite has been checked with articulating paper?

Yes/no: Pain yes, gum recession less likely. Sometimes filling requires more than one adjustment. Pulp all inflammation and/or gum disease can alter a tooth's occlusal relationships. Return to your Dentist for a reevaluation.

Yes/no: fillings in molars can be high/painful...but if the bite has been checked the issues is has it been checked as you are sitting up and true everything may be cool but as a clencher myself I know thing may not present themselves in a predictable manner. If it still feels high to you then it IS...the dentist can reproduce the same amount as the 1000 of ligaments that your tooth has. 2nd opinion??

No, see Perio DDS: because gum recession is a progressive condition. If the recession persists, a procedure known as a "gum graft surgery" may be performed by a periodontist.
