Dry Socket: A dry socket is only a possible posy op result of a tooth extraction. If your having a problem with your gums i would see a dentist.

Yes: Dry socket can occur after any type of extraction, whether surgical or simple. It occurs if something dislodges the clot that should form to cover and protect the extraction site.
