What do you mean?: If the "stiffness" is firmness under the skin where you had liposuction, it depends upon type (laser?). Usually the firmness is actually induration from the normal healing response. This can last for 8-12 weeks. If you had laser it will last up to 6 months.

Depends...: If by “stiffness” you mean firmness of the tissues that were treated with liposuction surgery, it may take 1 to 3 months for the inflammation/swelling to subside. As the inflammation/swelling subsides, you will find that the tissues will soften. It may take even longer for the skin to “bounce back” after the liposuction procedure. As always, your plastic surgeon will be your best resource.

Scar tissue for 6wks: Following any injury if is quite normal for one to develop scar tissue that forms over a period of 6 weeks. During this time one may normally experience stiffness particularly while remaining still and especially at night. This will begin to loosen after 6 weeks when the scar matures. Range of motion, massage and manual lymphatic therapy may help to diminish stiffness.
