Regular dental visit: Proper oral hygiene, diet, ..Can help preserve the integrity of the tissues and bone supporting the dentition . If your son's gums are healthy and no existing decay, his tonsils or sinuses maybe infected. Canker sore, stomach issues, ..Can also cause breath issues.

Halitosis: Bad breath doesn't always come from bad teeth... Acid reflux, diet, and periodontal problems can all contribute. A further work-up with your son's physician and dentist is indicated.
