Yes: The altered taste can be related to the residual effects of anesthesia in the lower jaw and tongue resulting in diminished taste, as well as from traces of blood from the extraction sites. Over time, the altered taste will improve.

Yes: Yes, for a number of reasons. You may have a bad taste since you aren't brushing as thoroughly. You may have a blood clot breaking down which tastes bad. As long as you are without pain, you should be ok. Any problems call or see your oral surgeon
