Still healing: The extraction site is probably still healing. Complete closure of the tooth socket takes 7-14 days . In some instances the doctor places a healing dressing to help .Food debri can be trapped . Also the possibility of improper healing should be confirmed . Best advise, visit your doctor.

Goback tothe dentist: You might have a dry socket, or a deep space where the teeth were extracted and some food may be stuck there, or an infection starting, best to go back to the dentist and let him/her take a look.

Can be normal: But if you are having a lot of pain, this can indicate dry socket. If you are not having any pain, it is likely that you have some food in the sockets. Try rinsing with warm salt water. If this doesn't subside after a few days, then see the doctor that took your teeth out.

Salt water rinses: Warm salt water rinses seem to help alleviate that. Use a teaspoon of salt mixed with 8 oz of warm water and rinse periodically throughout the day. If you have radiating pain along with a bad taste, consult your dentist to make sure it's not a dry socket.
