Not recommended: Generally, over the counter cough/cold meds are not recommended for children under 4 years old any more. They have more side effects in young children, and may not be very effective. Use saline in the nose and a bulb syringe to clean out the mucous. Use a cool mist humidifier to keep the mucous loosened. Give lots of fluids to drink.
