Can back pain cause stabbing foot pain?

Referred back pain: Unfortunately, back pain all too often does cause foot and leg pain if it is caused by nerve problems."sciatica" is a painful nerve condition that is due to pinching of the major thigh nerve from the back and sends pain down to the foot. See your family doctor first for an examination of your back problems to isolate a correct diagnosis.

See an osteopath dr: It might be good to see an osteopathic dr. For evaluation and treatment of both your back pain, and foot pain, as either can make the pain worse for the other. If you have flat feet, and are not wearing orthotics, this can impact your lower back.As can, having low back pain affect your gait. In either case, get relief, and a second opinion. Plantar fasciitis can cause foot pain to be worse too.
