Not necessarily: Once the break has healed, the bone is able to support normal physiologic loads. As it bears more load, the bone undergoes remodeling, which leads to strengthening of the bone. As you gradually increase the load or use of the bone, it will eventually become as strong as your uninjured wrist. However, during this remodeling phase, which may last several months, it is easier for the bone to rebreak.
