Blood sugar: It is the most accurate way we have of knowing about blood sugar control at the moment of testing. Urine can't be quantified for sugar that way. Even if it could be, urine is accumulated over hours. If there is sugar in your urine you won't know when your sugar was high enough to spill into urine. You could have a low or normal blood sugar now & have sugar in urine now from a high hours ago.

After having a uti, finding glucose in my urine, and testing negative for blood sugar problems, i haven't been able to hold urine at times.
I have been testing my urine daily and have ketones due to a little dysuria no leukocytes no blood no glucose,nitrates what is the cause of this condition?
If you go to the hospital for a check-up and they draw blood out and for a urine example would they let you know if you have an std? or something
