A member asked:

Does gadolinium effect the thyroid?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

not thyroid: Gadolinium, which is used as a contrast agent for mri, does not affect the thyroid. Contrast agents for x-rays and ct scans contain iodine, and they can affect the thyroid, although they usually do not, since there is already a lot of iodine in our diets.
