Is gadolinium injected and are there any after effects?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

IV contrast: Gadolinium is an IV contrast agent used for mri. As long as kidney function is fine, there should not be any long term effects. Some patients experience mild flushing or nausea with injection but actual allergic reactions are very rare.
