Can sciatica switch legs? started in the right now seems to be going down the left. two months on the right two weeks pain free now left leg pain.

Sometimes: If it is switching sides, more than one nerve is involved. Sometimes a very big central disc herniation can cause this. Consider getting an MRI if this is getting worse or not improving.

yes: Many times, sciatica symptoms resolve on their own, which appears to be the case for your right leg. You may also have sciatica symptoms on your left leg. You should undergo an evaluation by a qualified pain management specialist and probably have an MRI of your lumbar spine.

Yes: Especially if the disc herniates out centrally it can touch both nerves on each side. Also if there is a tear, the leakage of the inside of disc can be irritating to the nerves on both sides.
