I had a microdiscectomy in april if this year. now i have a herniated disc on l5-s1 and sciatica down my left leg into my food?

Sciatica: I give about 6 weeks to see if the symptoms resolve without surgery. Leg weakness, inability to sleep or persistent severe pain would indicate a need for surgery earlier though. Corticosteroid injections by a pain management specialist may also be helpful. Your spinal surgeon can advise you best,however.
