Can someone help with identifying what kind of tick you pull off your skin?

Check with Ag Extens: It can be very difficult identifying ticks that are removed from the body. Sometimes only parts of the tick body are removed. Check with one's state agricultural extension to seek the common ticks in the area and pictures.
