Yes: Some can cause rocky mountain spotted fever or lyme disease or other diseases. Remove ticks as soon as you discover one on you and put it in a container to bring with you to the doctor if you get a bull eye rash or any other symptoms. They will be able to send it to the state lab or cdc to determine if it was infected.
