A member asked:

What's the difference between pressured speech, rapid speech and hyperverbal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not very much. : Pressured speech and rapid speech are describing the same thing which is someone talking fast. Hyperverbal speech is when someone talks excessively. They all refer to some of the symptoms observed in a person experiencing a manic or hypomanic state. Usually, the affected person also shows elevated mood, lots of energy, decreased need for sleep and racing thoughts.
