A doctor has provided 1 answer

Orthostatic: Your blood pressure normally will increase a little when you go from lying to sitting to standing. This is to overcome the extra resistance partly due to gravity. However, your numbers are higher than they should be. This is called orthostasis ; usually due to dehydration. If it persists even after drinking some water, you may have kidney, hormonal, or carotid disease that should be checked out.
