These observations seem to rule out gallstones or gall bladder inflammation. Other possibilities are muscular discomfort, liver pathology,intestinal causes. If symptom persists, have him see an MD for evaluation which may include a right upper quadrant ultrasound which will outline the gall bladder and liver. Liver enzymes should also be checked then also. He may be referred to a gastroenterologis
