NOT EVEN CLOSE!: A cup of milk has 120 iu of vit. D. While the recommended daily intake (rdi) is 600 iu, most adults actually need 5-8000 iu/ day to achieve optimal levels. The RDI of calcium is 1000 mg and a cup of milk has about 300 mg. In most of the US sun exposure does not help in fall & winter- you need to supplement. See http://tinyurl.com/2chkcer
