Big picture..: There are primarily two kinds of birth control. Hormones and barriers. Hormones include pills, implants, and injections. Barriers include condoms, diaphragms, iuds and more. What's right for you two as a couple depends on how you feel about the pros and cons of each method. You should be able to find a good overview of the options via an online search, but then discuss it further with her doctor.
