I had a chest cat. scan today and am due for a mammogram. is a mammogram necessary now?

Yes : I do not know your detail history, however , i will say -yes, you still need your mammogram. A ct scan will not replace mammogram .You should discuss further with your doctor who knows your medical history, however.

Yes: Ct is not a recommended modality for breast cancer screening.

Yes.: A chest CT will occasionally pick up a breast cancer, but mammography is much more sensitive. There is no data to suggest that chest CT has any value as a screening modality for breast cancer.
