This is an observed pattern for either viral infection or strep. In the absence of testing there is little more to say. If strep is confirmed and treatment is started within 10 days of 1st symptoms, you can avoid the later complications of untreated strep. A viral issue would eventually fade after a few weeks.

Screening tests including COVID-19 and a COVID 19 vaccination is received by the CDC. If there is a fever associated for more than three days, please see a physician. Keep you daughter well hydrated and offer soothing fluids. Watch for rash and signs of dehydration.
