Unlikely to be heart: Given the location; the more common issues are heartburn (reflux) and chest wall pain (ribs, breast bone) very rarely a kid could have an inflammation of the heart lining called a pericarditis, (seen it twice in 30 + years). The heartburn improves with antacids and avoidance of spicy foods, avoiding laying down within an hour of eating. The heart issue would require testing.
