Lots of kids do: Nomspecific chest pain is a fairly common complaint among children, especially young girls. Chest pain that interferes with exercise or play should be evaluated.

Heart pain: There are no pain fibers in the heart. Chest pain is not necessarily heart pain. As such a 12year old could have all manner of musculoskeletal or GI potential causes for chest pain which could be called inappropriately 'heart pain'. There are of course uncommon cardiac diseases that could cause symptoms.
