Why ?: I expect the heart rate to rise by ~40 BPM for that elevation in temperature. Increased HR is a normal response that increases circulation of natural healing factors.Flu has its own pattern of fever that antibiotics would do nothing for. You can add anti-fever meds but they may also do little.With flu you focus on keeping fluids down & comfort. Go in if you are spooked, but I doubt they do much
