A member asked:

How long does it take for a uti to go away with medication?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

UTI: Time of recovery will vary with the type of UTI (lower tract vs. Upper tract), the organism responsible, the appropriateness or lack thereof of the antibiotic used, the immune and anatomic integrity of the patient. The organisms will start to die quickly, but symptoms may take a day or two to begin to resolve, just as if you were bruised from trauma.
