Depends on your need: Orthodontist specialist must gather and interpret diagnostic data, then review findings with you. Orthodontist may need to refer you for preliminary work (ck up, cleaning, Fluoride rx, extractions, gum rx, root canal rx, fillings, etc) before beginning orthodontic rx. Be patient. Set up rx properly for greatest efficiency.
