Easier or better: I understand that it may be easier to get the cavities taken care of later for you, but practically it is much harder to treat the cavities when braces and the brackets are present. Sometimes the brackets may prevent the proper treatment of the cavities and may result in the decay getting worse. It is highly recommended by most if not all dentist that all cavities be treated prior to braces

Fix Cavities First: before any orthodontic treatment. You should complete all necessary dental treatment, like filling, cleanings, etc, prior to receiving braces.

No: No qualified Orthodontic Specialist would place braces on diseased teeth. Cavities (infections) must be treated first. Additionally brackets and/or wires would have to be removed, cavities fixed, and then braces reattached, delaying Orthodontic progress. So get the infections treated first.

Cavities first: You need to get your cavities fixed before you start your braces. It is important that your teeth are healthy before braces are put on. Once you have the brackets and bands on your teeth filling can't be done. Brackets or band would need to be removed to do fillings on your teeth.
