Yes, but...: When diabetes is under poor control, you often have blurry vision. This is due to swelling of the lens. As your glucose comes down, the blurred vision can sometimes get temporarily worse before it gets better. All this presumes that you do not have retinal disease, or other eye diseases. If you have diabetes, you should be seeing an ophthalmologist yearly for a check up.

A definite probably: Diabetes can cause many eye problems from simple lens swelling (common cause that brings patients in) which improves with control to leakage in the retina (macular edema) to proliferative retinopathy (growth of vascular and scar tissue). At your age and if you have no history of retinal findings, simple control may alleviate the symptoms, but get an exam by an eye specialist!
