Zoloft (sertraline) &amp; panic?: Zoloft (sertraline) an SSRI is effectively rx'ed 2 treat panic attacks (acute anxiety marked by physical sxs like palpitations, sweating, dizziness, difficulty breathing, tingling, numbness, &amp; others). Sometimes, if the med has just been started, the pt may have incr anxiety Xs abt 1 wk. Then the med should begin to work to prevent panic. C ur doc if ur symptoms are worsening instead of improving.

will missing 1 zoloft (sertraline) dose cause my panic attacks to return abruptly?? i forgot this morning, & now its evening. what do i do to make sure i'm fine?

Zoloft (sertraline) : Yes, in rare cases zoloft (sertraline) can cause  an increase in the level of anxiety.  You should discuss this with the prescribing physician.

Yes it can: We usually try to avoid that sort of combination of anti anxiety treatment and a stimulant. You're on a very low dose of Zoloft (sertraline) even for anxiety. You might chat with your doctor about increasing the dose. If possible stopping or at least decreasing the Adderall should help as well.

Breath.: Breath in slowly ; deeply through your nostrils. Fill your lungs with air (but not to the point of discomfort). Hold for a count of five then slowly begin to exhale through an open mouth. Repeat at least 12 times, longer if you need to.  Let your physician know about any medication side effects you are experiencing. Hopefully these will resolve. Take care.

Zoloft (sertraline): seems to be doing the trick. Unless you plan on becoming pregnant on your current meds I see no reason for making a change (other than completely coming of Xanax (alprazolam) under the supervision of your psychiatrist).

Anxiety: Zoloft can be very effective for the treatment of anxiety and it's possible a higher dose could be more effective for you.  If you are not already engaged in therapy for anxiety (e.g. CBT) or other relaxation strategies (e.g. relaxation breathing, muscle relaxation, meditation) adding these to the Zoloft might be very helpful.  Hang in there!

Panic attack : Is a sever form of anxiety , medication can be helpful in 45 percent of cases , therapy and medication. R usually more effective. See a therapist to identify what negative thoughts u r having and to  help u change it.

Yes for most people: For most people yes. The fda demands that generic drugs be 85% to 120% bioavailable compared to the brand name. Most people won't notice the difference and will be happy to pay less but occasional people will notice a difference.
