No but...: ...combining tramadol with an SSRI such as sertraline (Zoloft) increases the chances of a very negative reaction called the serotonin syndrome. Generally the two medications should not be used together.

No: tramadoll has no SSRI in it.  Tramadol (ultram) is an opiate agonist, similar to opiates, for the treatment of pain.    The issue with tramadol and SSRI, like zoloft, (sertraline) is that when taken together they interact and can lead to potentially fatal interactions.

Restless: Check dose of tramadol higher dose of teamadol and zoloft (sertraline) has interaction may cause restless muscle pain even serotonin syndrome make sure you are not taking higher dose even risk of seizure.

Zoloft (sertraline) and tramadol: Concurrent use of tramadol and Zoloft (sertraline) has two implications 1. There is increased risk for serotonin syndrome- severe and much less common side effect from excess serotonin. A medical emergency, it is rare. 2. The tramadol is less effective as a pain medication with concurrent use with SSRI
