: Any medication or supplement can cause any sort of side effect.  If you feel more anxious after taking magnesium, stop taking it and see if the anxiety resolves.  If it does, you will know what is causing it.  If it does not, you will need to look for another cause.

Magnesium: Recommend magnesium glycinate 400 to 800mg daily.  Should not cause problem with diarrhea.

what to do if i am taking invega (paliperidone) and i'm having adverse effects?

It depends...: ...on what the side effects are.  Paliperidone (Invega) is a an atypical antipsychotic approved for the treatment of schizophrenia.  The most common acute side effect is restlessness and muscle twitches.  Common intermediate side effects are weight gain, increased cholesterol, increased glucose and an increased risk of diabetes.  There are some more serious, rarer side effects in the long-term.

after 7 years of seizure medication, i'm told it's not seizures at all so i was taking it for nothing. what are the adverse effects from this?

Keep a level head: You need to be sure of the diagnosis. Sometimes it helps to get a second or even third opinion.  If you do not require seizure meds and you are on one of the newer ones, chances are you will have had any significant set back other than perhaps financial if you had to pay much out of pocket for the meds. Its a good idea even with the newer medications to have your vitamin d level and folate checked.

Different effects.: Insomnia medications effect people differently. Some people have no side effects whatsoever, while other people remain lethargic after waking.  Unfortunately there is no way to predict how it will affect you. If it causes sleepiness after waking then you should talk to your doctor about decreasing your dose. I would not take it if your next day's performance includes operating machinery.

Sedation: The two drugs have additive sedative effects. Please careful about adding these together.
