Relaxation vs volume: Botox acts to relax the muscles that cause lines of facial expression (like the 11's &amp; crow's feet), leading to a smoothing of wrinkles.  Fillers act to replace lost volume, actually filling in the lines.  Botox is generally used in the upper face, fillers in the lower face (though there can be exceptions).

Forever vs 4 months: Brow lift is a surgical procedure which  resets the brows at a more youthful level; it also helps smooth the forehead. Botox is a medical treatment that can elevate the brow slightly but definitely smooths the forehead. The effects of brow lifts last many years, while botox's effects last 3-4 months, on average. Not all patients are candidates for either, so check with a facial plastic surgeon.

May be immune : If you have developed neutralizing antibodies to the Botox protein, the Botox may not work. This happens occasionally in patients who use Botox injections for wrinkles on the forehead. Over time, after multiple sessions of injections, some patients develop antibodies to Botox and either need larger doses to work or it sometimes doesn't work for them anymore.

Purtox : Purtox is not legal to be used in the us yet,  but the overseas experience claims it is more similar to Dysport rather than botox, both of them seeming to take effect a little faster than botox.

Difference: Botox works mainly by temporarily inactivating muscles of the forehead and areas of the face thereby reducing deep facial wrinkles. Restylane (dermal fillers) is a filler which is directly injected in to the wrinkles until fullness is achieved.

Botulism vs Fillers?: The 3 botulism products - BOTOX, DYSPORT, XEOMIN (incobotulinumtoxin a) - are used to paralyze the action of muscles temporarily. Additional effects are to decrease the sweating effect. While HA fillers - Restylane &amp; Juvederm - are filling injections for wrinkles and slight contour deformities. Elevess : Elevess is an ha (hyaluronic acid) filler like restylane, juvederm and perlane. These work best in the lower face, where we want to preserve animation, like smiling. The lines running from the sides of the nose down to the mouth are the most common area treated with fillers. The benefit of fillers is almost instant satisfaction.

Botox, is a neuromodulator, like Dysport and xeomin, (incobotulinumtoxin a) it works by reducing muscle motion. These are most frequently used in the upper face, and the area between the eyebrows is the most common area treated with neuromodulators. By reducing your ability to frown, the skin stops folding and the lines gradually reduce. Sometimes, when the frown lines are very deep, a combination of the two gives the best results.
