Sleep sufficiently: Regardless of your work hours, you need to be sure to get sufficient sleep and adequate hydration and nutrition.  Is the overtime mandatory or voluntary.  Be certain you are not trading money for the quality of your life.

Depends on the DDS: Usually it is at least 40 hours a week.  If there is hospital calls, then there will be more work hours.

how can i keep my glucose from falling during work hours?! my a1c is 5.2. i have to constantly eat, i cant stand it! it always falls to 65 right before my shift is over. i work behind a desk but active all day. any advice?!

Check up needed: Hi. It is not usual at all and a check up needs to be done, there are some hyper metabolism situations or even a tumor like an insulinoma, which secretes insulin and drops glucose levels. Please go see a physician, internal medicine or endocrinology to better assessment.

6 weeks: It really depends on the job you are returning to.  Factory jobs i will send to pt for two weeks prior to rtw.  Usually they are off for 4 weeks prior to going to pt.

Depends: While it can be a long road (sometimes as long as 15+ years from highschool ~ undergrad, med school, residency, etc).  And yes while it can sometimes be long hours it can also be a very rewarding career.  It all depends on what you enjoy and what path you choose to pursue.  I hope this helps.

No: Sleeping too much is linked with many of the same health risks as sleeping too little, including heart disease, metabolic problems such as diabetes and obesity, and cognitive issues including difficulty with memory.So if you are sleeping too much or too little talk to your doctor,you may need a sleep study or another workup for sleep apnea,narcolepsy,heart or diabetes problems,etc

Dependent edema: In an older person, what you describe is called dependent edema and is due to insufficiency of the valves of leg veins. CP is extremely variable; just stating CP w/o describing YOUR CP is like saying you have hair. That doesn't describe YOUR hair. See your doctor. There are ways to treat and cope with this, some of which may be quite simple.
