Dependent edema: In an older person, what you describe is called dependent edema and is due to insufficiency of the valves of leg veins. CP is extremely variable; just stating CP w/o describing YOUR CP is like saying you have hair. That doesn't describe YOUR hair. See your doctor. There are ways to treat and cope with this, some of which may be quite simple.
