Deviated septum???: You probably have a deviated septum. Also you might have a small OMC. Speak to an ENT consultant.

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. Your symptoms could be due to deviated nasal septum, a polyp in the nose due to allergy, or unilateral sinusitis. It would be prudent to see a doctor, preferably an ENT doctor.

Nasal blockage: Nasal plugging or blockage is most commonly associated with things like deviated nasal septum, allergies, enlarged turbinates and the like.  When only one side of the nose is involved, the septum is probably the most likely culprit, but you'll need to have this looked at in order to determine theexact cause and to correct it.

Septal deviation?: You likely have a nasoseptal (the bone/cartilage separating the two sides of the nose) deviated to that side thus the unilateral blockage.   See ENT.

im having difficulty breathing at night when sleeping because one side of my nose usually gets blocked and the other one will be extremely dry so much that i will have to breath through my mouth. i have been to doctors but no help. can you advise?

Ent: An ENT exam will be needed to look for anatomic abnormalities such as deviated septum or polyps for example. In case air dry from heating, use a humidifier by the bedside.

for last 6 weeks one side of nose blocked, no increased mucus. using decongestant stick at bed, gives relief during sleep. last few days nostrils are very sore. otherwise fit and feel good, no meds and vegan,no alcohol,never smoked. should i worry ?

Monitor : It may take several days, sometimes weeks for nostrils to feel normal after severe congestion. There can be sores in the lining that needs time to heal. Monitor for bleeding. Limit use of nasal decongestant spray to 3 days.

i have used cocaine for sometime then after by nose is blocked from one side sometime it gat better and sometime it bolcks tell me cure?

See below: Don't use cocaine.  The rebound congestion will resolve in a week.. There is no cure if you continue to use cocaine.

my nose is blocked and making squeaking noises all on its own. is that from worms? its weird. its never happened before. my sinus on one side is very blocked. im concerned?

: A visit with the PCP or ENT Consult might help identify and manage the problem (s).

since i was a boy, my nose always blocked usually one side. no snot. normal? do i have sinus problem?

Accepted Answer

Might be: If it is always blocked, obviously that is not normal. It is very possible that some minor surgery or medications may cure or greatly improve the situation. Sometimes a long course of antibiotics or steroids help. Sometimes opening some of the sinuses helps. Symptoms like these deserve a full evaluation in person by your health care provider.

constant one-sided headache along with frequently blocked nose. what might this be?

Migraine?: One sided headaches can be migraines and can be associated with nasal symptoms. Also if you have a septal deviation, your one side of the nose is always closed, and that can also trigger headaches. Better to get the headaches checked.
